Here you will find information about our current sponsors and how you can get involved with the Regatta Sailing Academy. Click on the logos below to find out more about each sponsor.

The Regatta Sailing Academy is very fortunate to receive the backing of high profile companies in Qatar to assist with our youth training programmes; education is the RSA's prime role - teaching both adults and children from the age of 6 years about environmental issues and how to enjoy a new skill in the warm waters of Doha bay.
The first few weeks of each term are taken up with schools visits as well as giving a presentation on how children can safely learn to sail, RSA actively involves students in discussions about the sea, how the tides work, etc. They are given an opportunity to see some of our purpose built training boats, sit in them to get a feel for what sailing is like. We operate "try sails" for those children who need to build their confidence, and special sessions for less abled students. Schools activity classes operate every weekday afternoon as well as half-term and the longer holidays.
Ladies have the opportunity to sail during the mornings in our beginner and intermediate classes, whilst mixed adult groups are catered for at weekends.
Racing is a very important part of RSA's calendar; Friday mornings are put aside for the experienced adult racer, whilst afternoons are learning to race groups. Saturday mornings our young race students put their skills to the test in a series of races and Regattas.
The Academy has two racing yachts; these are used for teaching youth and adult teams who get to race (and win) in various Gulf Regattas such as the Bahrain International Regatta and Maktoum Trophy in UAE.
RSA is very much involved in expeditions for the International Award (known as the Duke of Edinburgh Award in UK); we work closely with a number of Schools in Qatar and currently have 55 students working to achieve their Bronze and Silver Awards by sailing to and from Bahrain, and 18 students who are progressing to Gold by sailing to and from the UAE. A major achievement for such young students; they involve all nationalities. RSA is the first to operate such a scheme in the Gulf States.
Our partners benefit from having their names/logos on our sails which are used during our 7 day week operation for junior and youth courses, birthday parties, adult training, team building/company training, regattas and general boat hire for Intercontinental guests, company guests and national teams training for Asian Games and Gulf Trophies. On this page you will find our sponsors sails displayed at our Sailing Centre located on the Intercontinental Hotel beach, reached through the Fish Market entrance. Our Academy Programme can be found on this site.
